MAG-nificent Lions

A special THANK YOU goes out to Keele Ford! This Mag-nificent Magnolia Lion held a special Fundraiser last weekend to help Magnolia and her peers. She sold goodies to friends and neighbors to help support the special programs at Magnolia. She raised $32.11 in one day! Thank you Keele for being a great Magnolia Citizen!

Superintendent Lovely Visits Magnolia

Volunteering

We would love you to volunteer at Magnolia, but don’t forget that you must do the following:

  • Complete a (click here) Volunteer Application, provide a copy of your current TB test (within the last 4 years) and provide a copy of your driver's license.  Return these 3 items to the Magnolia office. These steps must be completed every year, even if you have volunteered in the past.  We do not keep records, including TB tests, from year to year. Please contact the office if you have any questions. Thank you!

We would love you to drive on a field trip at Magnolia, but don’t forget that you must do the following:

  • Complete a (click here)  Field Trip Driver Application and bring a copy of your insurance declaration page to the Magnolia office. We do not keep old applications. Please contact the office if you have any questions. Thank you!

Hear Ye! Hear YE! Our BOOK FAIR is Here!

We are very excited about our upcoming Book Fair! We are open 8-2:30 pm October 17th-October 24th in the Library. Come by and shop or shop online with this link: http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/

Important Dates to remember

Every Thursday is early dismissal. Pick up time is 1:35 pm.

* ONLINE Book Fair begins October 9th and ends October 29th. 

* Book Fair- October 17-24. 

* Parent Teacher Conferences- 16-24. Early Dismissal during conferences (1:35 pm). 

* Eat out and earn 20% at Paradise Pizza and Paradise Gourmet Market. October 21st all day! (Includes take out/to-go orders and delivery.) 

* Red Ribbon Week- October 27-31.

* Awards Assembly/Character Trait Introduction for November- Friday, October 31. 

 

* Veteran's Day/Observance- November 10-11.

* PTA Meeting- November 18th at 6:30 pm. Location: Room 15. 

* Thanksgiving Vacation- November 24-28.

 

* Winter Break- December 22- January 1. (Return to school on January 5th.)

Type to Learn

Type to Learn is a program that students use at school in both the classroom and computer lab to practice crucial typing skills as we move forward with online testing. Click here TTL4 School to Home to access the download instructions for your students to log in at home and practice! Students in 2nd-5ht grades should be familiar with this program and be ready to log in once downloaded to your at home computer.

Eat Out and Earn 20% for Magnolia

We are excited for our first Eat Out event with Paradise Pizza and Paradise Gourmet Market. The event will be October 21st, all day long and you only need to mention that you are with Magnolia, no need for a flyer. Paradise Pizza and Paradise Gourmet Market  are  located at 2564 State St, Carlsbad, CA 92008 (760) 729-7492

(Please use parking lot located on the corner of Roosevelt & Laguna for easiest access.)
