Celebrate Carlsbad Day ~Legoland

Carlsbad Education Foundation is hosting a Celebrate Carlsbad Day at Legoland April 25th 1pm- 8pm. It is their largest fundraiser of the year to bring in funds that help support our programs here at Magnolia and other Carlsbad Schools. Please click the following link

Testing Information~Please read

State testing will take place during the month of May for 3rd-5th grades. Please have your students to school on time and rested. Please keep this in mind when scheduling vacations, Doctor Appointments, etc.The Smarter Balanced Practice Tests allow teachers, students, parents, and other interested parties to experience the features of online testing and gain insight into how Smarter Balanced will assess students’ mastery of the Common Core. We encourage students to practice at home. We LOVE our Volunteers!

We would love you to volunteer at Magnolia, but don’t forget that you must do the following:

  • Complete a Volunteer Application, provide a copy of your current TB test (within the last 4 years) and provide a copy of your driver's license.  Return these 3 items to the Magnolia office. These steps must be completed every year, even if you have volunteered in the past.  We do not keep records, including TB tests, from year to year. Please contact the office if you have any questions. Thank you!

We would love you to drive on a field trip at Magnolia, but don’t forget that you must do the following:

  • Complete a  Field Trip Driver Application and bring a copy of your insurance declaration page to the Magnolia office. We do not keep old applications. Please contact the office if you have any questions. Thank you!

Type to Learn

Type to Learn is a program that students use at school in both the classroom and computer lab to practice crucial typing skills as we move forward with online testing. Click here TTL4 School to Home to access the download instructions for your students to log in at home and practice! Students in 2nd-5ht grades should be familiar with this program and be ready to log in once downloaded to your at home computer.

Looking for more ways to help MAGNOLIA?

Visit your local parks, beaches and neighborhoods and you will find plastic bottles and aluminum cans everywhere you go. Just by picking up a few at a time, you can make a difference. Even ask your neighbors to save their recycling every week. It all ADDS UP! Please keep recycling to any plastics that have a CRV. NO GLASS BOTTLES at this time please! 

We Recycle every Friday Morning! Please have recyclables here by 8:05 am for pick up and enter the raffle for a prize.  Thank you!
