February Character Trait

The February character trait is RESPECT!

Respect is a way of treating or thinking about something or someone. If you respect your teacher, you admire her and treat her well.

"People respect others who are impressive for any reason, such as being in authority — like a teacher or cop — or being older — like a grandparent. You show respect by being polite and kind. For a lot of people, taking your hat off is a show of respect."

Parent University is BACK!

Parent University graphic.png

Parent University is designed to provide CUSD parents with critical information to help their students succeed in school. The goal of Parent University is to inspire and empower parents to take their parenting know-how to the next level.

Guiding Principles: We believe that parents are a child’s first teacher. We also believe that every parent wants their student to have the best school experience possible. To that end, we believe education is the best gift a parent can give to their children.

To learn more about upcoming workshops and dates, please view the flyer below:

The PTA is launching Hang 10 with Magnolia. This means they are asking Volunteers to Volunteer 10 hours of your time over the course of the school year. You can volunteer by helping with teacher needs, helping with events and so much more.

We would love you to volunteer at Magnolia, but don’t forget that you must do the following:

  • Complete a Volunteer Application and provide a copy of your driver's license.   These steps must be completed every year, even if you have volunteered in the past.  We do not keep records from year to year. Please contact the office if you have any questions. Thank you!

Also, we would love you to drive on a field trip at Magnolia, but don’t forget that you must do the following:

  • Complete a  Field Trip Driver Application and bring a copy of your insurance declaration page to the Magnolia office. We do not keep old applications. Please contact the office if you have any questions. Thank you!
