Girl Scout Food Drive


Our local Girl Scout Troop will be collecting food for The Bread of Life beginning November 17th-November 21st before and after school in the pick up line. Please bring in any canned or boxed food as well as paper products to donate to the troops. Thank you for your support with this great cause!

Zero Waste CLEANUP

I LOVE a CLEAN SAN DIEGO is sponsoring a Park Clean Up day on Saturday, December 6th at Cannon Park in Carlsbad from 10am-12pm. Help support a sustainable community by donating some time. Please bring a bucket, work gloves and a reusable bottle to the clean up. For more information please email lambrogi@cleansd.org and to sign up!


This year's Reflections Art Contest theme was, "The World would be a better place if...". We had several students submit art, poetry and writings on this topic. It was displayed, judged and prizes awarded on October 31st. We hope to have more entries next year and loved seeing the beautiful artwork! Congratulations to our winners that are moving on to the District level contest.

Help Magnolia Make a Difference!

This Holiday Season our Magnolia community is supporting the children of the Polinsky Center in San Diego. The Polinsky Center is a temporary shelter for children who have been separated from their families due to concerns for their well-being. 

We will be collecting gift items through December 18th. We are accepting newunwrapped gifts for children of all ages. Please see the "Ideas for Donations" from this link: 


There will be a collection box in each classroom for donations. Thank you in advance for helping Magnolia

Every Thursday is early dismissal. Pick up time is 1:35 pm.

We LOVE our Volunteers!

We would love you to volunteer at Magnolia, but don’t forget that you must do the following:

  • Complete a (click here) Volunteer Application, provide a copy of your current TB test (within the last 4 years) and provide a copy of your driver's license.  Return these 3 items to the Magnolia office. These steps must be completed every year, even if you have volunteered in the past.  We do not keep records, including TB tests, from year to year. Please contact the office if you have any questions. Thank you!

We would love you to drive on a field trip at Magnolia, but don’t forget that you must do the following:

  • Complete a (click here)  Field Trip Driver Application and bring a copy of your insurance declaration page to the Magnolia office. We do not keep old applications. Please contact the office if you have any questions. Thank you!

Type to Learn

Type to Learn is a program that students use at school in both the classroom and computer lab to practice crucial typing skills as we move forward with online testing. Click here TTL4 School to Home to access the download instructions for your students to log in at home and practice! Students in 2nd-5ht grades should be familiar with this program and be ready to log in once downloaded to your at home computer.

Looking for more ways to help MAGNOLIA?

Visit your local parks, beaches and neighborhoods and you will find plastic bottles and aluminum cans everywhere you go. Just by picking up a few at a time, you can make a difference. Even ask your neighbors to save their recycling every week. It all ADDS UP! 

We Recycle every Friday Morning! Please have recyclables here by 8:05 am for pick up and enter the raffle for a prize.  Thank you!
